Well, enough about past threads, and over to this one.

A few notes though - even though a few Ps2 titles, and maybe a GC or two should sneak in here, they aren't included. The simple reason is that there aren't really enough colours, and it would cause a bit confusion here. If you really want them though, I might add them in the end of it. Also note that these numbers are incomplete. A few Xbox360 titles could have the incorrect numbers.

The only sales are 1.5M and above.

There are 4 Playstation 3 titles here. 1 sold 2.0M or more. They total out 9.1M.

There are 9 Xbox 360 titles here. 5 sold 2.0M or more. 4 sold 3.0M or more, and 2 sold 4.0M or more. They total out 26.5M.

7 Wii games sold 1.0-1.5M, making the total 16 games 1M+ games, and the total 48.9M with Wii Sports, and 37.5M without Wii Sports.

2 Ps3 games were here, making the total 6 million sellers, and the total 11.4M

3 X360 games, totalling up to 12 1M+, and a total of 30.3M

The total Wii software sales for 2007, are according to this site 72.8M. This means that roughly 66% of the Wii's total total are 1M + sellers.

The total Ps3 software was 29.4M, meaning that less than 40% of the Ps3's total sales were 1M + sellers.

The total X360 software was 65M, meaning that a little less than half of the sales were from the million sellers.

We'll need comprehensive archives like this in the future.

We might actually get a Worldwide version of one of these on the site (like American yearly and Japan yearly) if ioi gets more reliable PAL data.

Interesting that the often repeated line that Wii owners don't buy as much software as HD console owners seems to be little more than a myth. (especially since the 360 started the year with a large lead in install base)

Not bad.

And yea Wii owners by plenty of software. Especially in the holiday months. That's when all those mainstream buyers go shopping.
