Does it have the power to move consoles, and if so how much wold you predict?

Not much. If someone wanted Gears 2, they would have got the console for Halo 3 or Gears before now

I say American sales upon its launch could anywhere from 100-125k. Perhaps a bit more if the hype is really large and the reviews are good. However, I don't think the hardware bump will be spread out through the entire holiday season like Halo 3 or the previous Gears of War.

Anyway, I just dont think it will probide a major spike at all, but it is coming out in November, so the sales are going to be high anyway

It will give it a small boost, but not anything big since 80% of those who want the game already bought a 360 for the first one and everyone knows that after a few months it will come out on PC.

Isnt this the same argument that people used about halo3 when it came out that it wouldnt spike sales that big because most people who wanted halo already had gone out and got a 360 lol.

celticlonewolf, no gears has already been released at the 360 platform. Fans of the series already have a 360

I doubt it. Gears is already established on the 360. I dont think it could bring any noticeable console sales.
