More than anything, I think that some, if not many, Japanese RPG companies realized early on in the generation (before the Wii did what it did), that the X360 would be the system of choice to develop on if you wanted it to be affordable, and have a very good Western audience.

Didn't know Japanese companies were interested in developing their RPGs for the Western audience

So it didn't occur to you that Japanese companies would be interested in making games for a market that is far larger than their domestic market? You clearly didn't give the issue a whole lot of thought.

I knew they were interested.  It's just that JRPGs are mainly made with Japanese gamers in mind.

Seems like they're not interested. Notice all the JRPG that don't come out of Japan, special editions that don't come out of Japan, or worldwide JRPG releases on a console which are ported to another console but only for Japan (like Eternal Sonata).

Japan is still the main market for JRPG, which make sense.

I think first week sales will be a little over 90,000.

Tales of Vesperia (Xbox 360, Bandai Namco): 9 / 9 / 9 / 8 - (35/40)

Review from the Weekly Famitsu Magazine.

[

50 - 70k in week one Japan. 100k LTD in Japan for this game.

I assume one tenth of Japanese X360 owners will buy this game in week one.
