I strongly suspect it'll be one of those Doom 3-esque games as per reviews, in that people who play it for a little while will be impressed, while people who play through the entire thing will realize how monotonous and shallow it is.

 

So are you still clutching onto your misconceived idea of what this game is or have you looked at the overwhelmingly positive beta impressions/reviews and changed your tone a little? I can't think of another game where some people completely missed the mark because of failing to see the larger scope and quality while complaining about insignificant gameplay issues.
