How many innocents have died from accidentally being killed by the U.S. and coalition troops?  And then how many have died in al Qaeda and insurgent bombings?  Give me a break if you think the civilized world are the bad guys here.  How many innocents have been beheaded or executed by U.S. troops?  How many by terrorists and insurgents?  Yeah, that's what I thought.

And I never said Iraq=terrorists.  Don't try to put words in my mouth.

No terrorists in Iraq before the war huh?  That must be news to one of the masterminds behind the 1993 WTC bombing who was harbored in Baghdad for a decade.  And the real freedom fighters are the Iraqis fighting to liberate themselves from the violence and extremism of groups like al Qaeda in Iraq, not from the U.S.  People who know anything know U.S. troops will leave when the country is stabilized and the war won, which is what is already starting to happen.

I'm tired of you conservative cry babies whinning about the media.  Newsflash, the news media is a business and all they care about is money.  They get money through advertising, and those advertising dollars increase with more viewers.  The media is only giving people what they want, and average Joe consumer would rather hear about bombs going off in Afghanistan than flowers being planted in Iraq.  That is why Iraq is falling out of the the news lately, because news media consumers are more interested in new, flashy, and violent stories. 

If you think its the media thats against you are are wrong, they are only giving the people what they want, its reality that is your enemy.

The News Media shouldn't be a buisness.  Cause it leads to sensationalism and bad press... which influences people.  It's basically untargeted propaganda.

I don’t think the problem is profit. Liquidity makes good/better reporting possible by making the purchase of technology and travel possible. The problem is the system. Editors single handedly decide the spin and or story's tone for newspaper sections and news room and this leads to marked bias. Look at NYT and WSJ. Both can write the same story but anybody with half a brain could predict the spin.

My question about this thread is simple (we could probably start another thread about it completely):

Now that we have 16 years and 2 administrations of experience on this terrorist problem, which do you prefer?

Clinton - Police Policy - which had no teeth and resulted in at least 1 terrorist attack on America every 12-18 months of his 2 terms. Most of which were executed by Islamic radicals and several on American soil or property.

Bush - Military Policy - After 1 terrorist attack he immediately took military action on two fronts. The results were a complete loss of respect for America by the international community but no further terrorist attack on American soil.

ROFL. I heard Manhattan is short on buildings nowadays... I can think of one that should probably be turned into a Wal-Mart, a whorehouse for US troops, or something else equally useful.

Could probably also fit a Hometown Buffet and a bar that plays both kinds of music, Country and Western.
