I think these critics need to stop deliberately reviewing crap the only thing that should be reviewed are titles people want to BUY because their reviews on ELVIS AND THE CHIPMUNKS, and BIG MAMA'S COOK OFF really ain't all that insight full their just a waste of EVERYONES time when they could have reviewed a game people wanted to buy but where not sure if it would be something they'd play...........

GI doesnt hate the wii they hate the shovel-ware it spews out. as far a Mario kart wii with a 8.75 that is a great score, and by now you should all know that review scores dont always = the top sales. mario kart wii sold so much off its name alone and the millions of people who loved mario kart over ther years its been out. I want to get mario kart wii not cause of a recent review but because i loved mario kart back in the day on my SNES playing a new one on the wii is just natural.

GI gets the most exclusive game coverage in the industry. almost get month the game on the cover they have the exclusive info on. like this month they have the new wolfenstein yet not many on their gaming news media has info on the game.

Only thing I find odd is that alot of these bad games they review are selling very well while the higher rated games like Boom Blox do not sell near as many.

GI reviews the games that come out. IF there are a lot of crap games that come out then they will get crap reviews.  Is that hard to understand??

Not to be an ass or anything, but GI did not give MKWII an 8.75. They gave it an 8.5.

What is the Metacritic score on MKWII?

yeah and ps3/360 racers ain't even as good as NEEDFORSPEED games PGR was a bad game I don't know why ppl like it and GT isn't as good as need for speed and MKWII is 12players PGR3 is only 8players...... and not any fun........

This is because casuals don't read reviews and buy based on what on the cover of the box.

MKwii truly is the best racing game..........

I also think a reason why people complain is because not too long ago just about every system whether it be PS3/360/Wii were getting pampered with a lot of ridiculous 9/9.5+ scores on almost every title released. Remember that leading into this year and up until now we had SMG, SMB, MKWII, WiiFit, Okami, RE, Boom Blox all receiving 8.5 or higher scores, with WiiFit being the only exception with an 8. SMG, SMB, Okami all receiving 9.5 or higher.

Now that one console has been in some what of a gaming drought (IMO anyways) it is becoming hard to stomach it.
