It looks pretty cool, I'm debating on getting the eyetoy vs a regular cheap USB camera for chatting. Depends on the games, quality, and price of the eyetoy I guess.

 What, like that game that Chewwie and R2-D2 play in StarWars, that would be so incredibly awesome, hopefully this is one step towards holographic games! :D

Yeah, this technology could make for fun Harry Potter minigames (I'm thinking Wizards Chess).

I may get this, but I also said that about the original Eyetoy (and I didn't).

I never got the original eyetoy but this game is convincing me to get the Eye day 1.

I think it will be 100 dollars permanently, but this was said a while ago the price can change.

does that thing have online play ?

ps - sony needs a world wide PS3/PSEYE/eye game bundle.

 It has online play where you play against other people in card battles.

Now i wanna own it! Magic the gathering owns SO Hard!... (Btw for the mtg geeks: I play Legacy format... Vial goblin deck... Tier 1.)

The PS Eye is supposedly a very good camera in terms of frame rate which will be very important for interactive features. Also it has a mic "array" on it that has fltering to extrapolate just your voice and pull all the other sounds out, not just the game sounds but other background sounds as well. I even think their may be some voice recog s/w that may be coming soon or with it?

PS. for the interactive features they also said that the light emitted from a big screen TV was enough to get the data it needs.

Ya it's real...look up the Eyetoy stuff...it's all even "tighter" than that.
