The PS Eye is supposedly a very good camera in terms of frame rate which will be very important for interactive features. Also it has a mic "array" on it that has fltering to extrapolate just your voice and pull all the other sounds out, not just the game sounds but other background sounds as well. I even think their may be some voice recog s/w that may be coming soon or with it?
PS. for the interactive features they also said that the light emitted from a big screen TV was enough to get the data it needs.
