A darker, grittier Halo game not featuring the master chief that also happens to be a 3rd person squad based shooter.

When I saw that posted here for the first time I at first had thought it was a joke topic like "haha, Bungie is just going to turn it into Gears of War" but then I realized it wasn't a joke and I just thought wow...

But really, the thing that stands out to me about Gears of War is the fact that it is a very dark and gritty game and it is a 3rd person squad based shooter.

I don't know if anyone else thought it seemed like a Gears of War copy other than me but I don't really know if this is the best direction for Bungie to take the Halo series.

Idc for whatever they do to Halo, its just going to die...I bet the next halo isnt going to be nearly as Popular as Halo2 or 3..

I hate to be all nit-picky, but Gears of War isn't third person. Since you're limited to looking over Marcus' shoulder only tha tmakes it more like second person. Third would be where you could look over everyone at once or anyone at a given time.

lemme get this straight...your basing your argument, or opinion, that halo 4 is gonna be like gears because they said it's going to be darker and grittier game?

in my opinion, that's the stupides thing i've ever heard. because a game is going to go for a dark and grittier theme, that means it's copying another game?

gears of war wasnt the first... killswitch was... well atleast it was the first with a real cover system.

gears of war is such a good game because it brought a lot of new stuff to the table, it isnt the same old shooter. what other games you know that you can chainsaw people! and of course other companies are going to copy them now!
