Forums - Nintendo - Wii Cricket?

It appears that EA are contemplating bring a cricket game  to the Wii.

I've mentioned in a previous thread on the topic of Wii cricket, that balance board support is essential to account for body position, frontfoot/backfoot strokes etc, which are fundamental aspects of batting.

Obviously, motion plus support would be incredible. The enhanced accuracy would provide huge potential for spin bowling and 1:1 batting.

The game could also double as a useful tool to teach users orthodox methods of batting/bowling in a real life situation in the same way that Wii Fit is used to instruct users correct fitness techniques.

Clearly, the commercial potential of a cricket game is limited. Nonetheless, this has never stopped the development of cricket games before. I really hope EA carry through with this.

Tease.

Nintendic? I have never even heard of that site.

It looks clean and well presented...with less garbage than Kotaku or Joystiq. I've bookmarked it.

As far as cricket goes....Would a straight-forward cricket game work? I don't play the game....is there a lot of depth to it? Don't flame me....I'm from California. The only crickets we have are the ones I feed my geckos and the ones that you have to clean out of your hot tub in the morning.

Big Beach Sports has sold on the back of its cricket game if the comments on Amazon are anything to go by. This would be a big seller in the UK.
