i think i hate msoft, if not for the 3 360's i went through, but for the sheer fact that:

They released a console and took a lot of great games with it and poured so much money into the systems and development and advertising, and bought off so many exclusives and companies whose ingenuities they are killing (bungie, rare) for one purpose. To lose money

to compete in a market. I don't even think there was a plan to make money at first. I think it was just bill wanting a new toy. since the first system, their product has only gotten shoddier and have taken more and more exclusives, and have downplayed innovation.

I hate Sony because:

1.- Their defective, rotting CD-Rs.
2.- The Lik-Sang incident.

3.- The spyware in their music CDs.

4. Cheaply made UMD's.

5. ATRAC

Bonus.- I hate the Dual Shock form factor.

 

 

OMG! Somebody else dislikes the dual shock controller!!

My reason is because my thumbs seem too close together...

OT: I hate EA the most.

I hate Sony because I find them to be an emblem of corporate mediocrity. It's a company that clearly makes every decision by committee and every utterance their representatives make is (poorly) scripted.

There are good people and even good companies worth admiring in this world, but being a Sony fan means that one has lost touch with one's own humanity. It means that you're joining the march into the void of mindless corporatism.

Although I own an Xbox 360, I've had the most hell with MS as a company -

1. Overpriced accessories
2. Windows doesn't work as well as it should (BSOD, security, resource usage, spyware, etc.)

3. Windows and Office Applications way overpriced.

4. Poor customer support (had to pay $80 for a 360 PSU that they lost while I sent mine for repair).

5. monopolistic practices up there with Standard Oil and AT&T back in the day.

All that's hate stuff is silly but I think it's a part of our "young" industry that is kinda unique. Supporting your favourite console or company is like your supporting your football team and we all know the competitors sometimes win and sometimes "we" win! Even now I own all three consoles but I have my favourite but it's only an opinion and something I know I can't be right or wrong on!

yah but i think everytime i've had a sony product, regardless of whether it survived or not, was definitely of the utmost quality. Even after getting a ps3 i was like, damn this thing is nicely polished all round, a lot of thought must have gone into it, even though before i was like 400$ is way too expensive.

same for my MD until ipod came and smashed pretty much every handheld audio device.
