How many people here, have an hdtv, or hd capable monitor, but no blueray player, if so when did you first get your hd tv/monitor?

if you have a blueray player when did you get it in relation to your hdtv?

also if you are a ps3 blueray user with no hdtv id like to hear from you, do you pln on buying an hdtv?

I would Like to know if its 720p or 1080p/i to see if this is changes adoption rate. it would also be interesting to see how many nonblueray hd players people have, and non ps3 blueray players people have

I am excluding game output from this, as gaming and video are very difrent markets. 

I have no blueray player but have had hd capability (1080p) on my tower for 2 years now, and an hdtv 1080p 47" for just short of a year. at the moment no plans to buy a blueray player. I have never had a native video playing format for hd, I have owned an hd capture device, an hddv native canon codec video camera

I had my PS3 for 8 months before I bought an HDTV. It was a great way to enter the current generation, because it allowed me to be blown away by the PS3 when I first bought it and again when I saw it in it's full HD glory. Even before I bought the HDTV, I was buying my movies on Blu-ray because I knew I would get one eventually.

My TV is 1366x768, but it accepts a 1080p signal which is what I set the PS3 to since I prefer the TV downscale 1920x1080 pixels then upscale 12XXx720 to get to its native resolution. It scales really really well. :)

i got my PS3 in january 2008, my hdtv in may 2008, had to save up for both, both work fantastically well. my tv runs at 1080i, picture quality is still fucking amazing, films look godly

It looks like crap without an Hdtv...Am just kidding it looks alright without an Hdtv but it looks alot better with an Hdtv.

@dogs rule, i had the same feeling with my 360, i went from a crappy sdtv to hd... ended up replaying dead rising because of it... man it was great,

i honestly thought id get more people to respond with the no hd player for their hdtv
