So you're saying he should make his decisions based on what fanboys think?  If that were the case the PS3 would be $200 and Sony would have purchased exclusivity on GTAIV, F13, KH3, GoW2, Fable2, etc... and been bankrupt by now.

At least fooflexible gets it.  Some of you are stuck in your fanboy "zomg gotcha" world.  You guys are correct that true fanboys would have seen negative either way, but that is exactly why they shouldn't factor into the equation.   True fanboys don't matter at all because they will always see negative in others and positive in their own company but they don't matter most of all because they will continue to buy the products like sheep regardless of what is said in an interview.

Seriously, this isn't the corporate world meets 3rd grade.  Fooflexible does a good job of showing you precisely how this should have been handled.

Wrong. I'm actually implying the exact opposite. I think he should make his decisions based on what's best for the company and his own image, which is exactly what happened. Forget about what the fanboys think, they'll have the same negative response either way (which is what i pointed out). The point that this is even a big deal or that Kaz is being bashed for using corporate language is already stupid. What did you except him to say? "I would really like Halo4 on the PS3"? get real. Suits are suits. Everything they say could be turned against them by anyone.

Kaz Hirai is a fool. He knows that the 360 has Gems in Forza, Gears, the Halo franchise and more. Sony doesn't focus on the core games for a good year and then the representative admits finally that they are going to focus on games. Luckily MGS4 wont be so lonely at the end of the year. Too bad the shooters will all be generic.
