Sorry to be mean, but by posting this you bascially asked for my opinion. Either you really screamed at your mother, or she is a jerk for calling you that.
And rejecting your mothers gift/your brother's generous offer sounds very ungrateful to me. It sounds like you might idolize the Playstation brand, which is unhealthy at best and a terrible sin at worst, depending on your life view.

I would reevaluate why you play video games in the first place. At least for me, video games are a way to use up excess free time effectively, yet I often forget this, and in the process forgo doing productive things like schoolwork and hanging out with friends.

Yeah, dude, no offense, but I'd call you an ungrateful *&nt too if you freaked out at me like that for buying you a nice gaming system. Even if you don't play it, it doesn't make your life as a gamer 'worse' by having it without having to pay for it.
