Haze for me, i completely stopped playing games after enduring it.

Then on the ds you have Chrono Trigger Port( That would almost be guarunteed Rpg of the yearif it was a remake), Soma Bringer(Might come to the U.S), the world ends with you, FFIV remake, DQ remakes, Maybe DQ IX if the rumors of simutaneous release are true. Fable 2 is hyped a lot less than the first one.
Most DS games are unlikely to be noted as GotY, they just dont get the necessary hype.
Much as I love the idea IU or ToV could make it, and i think they'll sell well and do well critically, there once again just isn't enough hype.
starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS
Spore= Haze, with more hype, and more stupidity. Get ready for mega fail people.
LBP= 2D platformer. Need I say more? Okay...innovation at it's best.(Bollocks.)
GTA4= ZOMFG, GAME OF THE YEAR.(Then there's this little, naggling doubt that you're not actually having as much fun as you are playing GTAIV. But you've given into the hype of GTAIV and bought it, and you know everyone else is going to pretend like it, so what the heck! GOTY.)
MGS4= Utterly awesome genius. This deserves GOTY. Unlike GTAIV, Spore, Bore, Killfuckup2, Halo 8, Resistor 2V, GearsOfWar 3 Snake Easter and finally, Final Fuckme 19.
Too bad... I think there are lots of great games that should be considered for GOTY. I never knew the quality of a game was based on hype... :P

I dunno :p There's been some awesome games this gen ^^ I'll go with MGS4 as the most impressive me-thinks :)

Well is Rpg of the Year based off of Hype or Quality? If hype then I don't think I would care.
