ok, so ive gotten over the ffxiii thing and have decided to move on by getting another system to go with my ps3.  i'll be getting some extra cash, about enough to by a used ps2 with lots of games or enough for half a wii. i'm in no particular hurry and can save enough for a whole wii.

i'm currently undecided as to which i should buy, i already owned a ps2 but sold it years ago so i know what i'm getting into if i went with the ps2. if i go with the ps2 i would buy ffx, ffx-2, ffxii, shadow hearts 1-3, valkery profile 2, kingdom hearts 1&2, shadow of the colossus, mgs3, devil may cry1-3, gt4, and etc etc etc...and this would mean gaming rpg heaven for me

but if i'm really curious as to what the wii can offer. i know theres re4 which many say is the best version of re4. then, theres the zelda game and wii sprot which i wanna try. other than these, what does the wii have to offer? pls take in to consideration the games which i mentioned i would be getting for the ps2.

PS2 will be an excellent purchase. Plenty of cheap games on the PS2. I say wait for a Wii and buy it in a couple of years time when they are much cheaper and have more games available.

And i think your family'll love Wii too.(like my sister that never interest in any kind of games untill Wii released).

Wii would be a good choice, and other quality games on it include Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Considering your choices, I think you'd like Tales of Symphonia 2 for it a lot.

On the other hand, the PS2 is also a good choice, but I'm assuming you've already played all the games you listed since you said you owned a PS2 before.

The question lies in whether you want to replay old classics that you've learned to love, or take a step into some new games that you've never tried before.

You have a PS3. Doesn't it play PS2 games?

If I were you I would sell the PS3 and buy a 360 and a ps2 based on the type of games you like. If that really is not an option though I would just get a ps2 because you seem very rpg orientated and while I do think the Wii will eventually have a bunch of good rpgs, you may have to wait a year for them. Just buy the ps2 now and play through all those rpg's now and by the time you finish all of them you will be able to afford all three next gen consoles haha =)
