Yeah the Nyko charge station is great, I have to jiggle the remotes around a bit to get the contacts to start charging but it's not a big deal, plus they charge quick, last a long time, and the grips are functional without being obtrusive. Plus the whole set-up is cheap and pays for itself very quickly.

Damn you Wii. Your immersive controls are so great that it cost Take-Two Manhunt 2.

The general media automatically relates Manhunt 2 to the Wii and its immersive controls, thanks to Jack Thompson and his email stating that the game was designed to as a "training simulator" (For murder).

Damn you Nintendo. You have given developers the ability to make people FEEL like they are IN the game. It seems that future violent video games on the Wii could be criticized for being TOO immersive.

Why, oh WHY would you make a system that allows people to experience a whole new level of interaction and immersion? It seems you are giving Jack Thompson a reason to hate video games even more. Where you only thinking about the Hardocre gamer when you did this, did you never consider Jack Thompson??????

I have no major complaints about the Wii. It's working fine and I don't have any animals that eat my stuff. You should probably blame your animals and not the wire. They will end up chewing the wrong wire one of these days. Nintendo needs to update the firmware, I want to be able to change the channels around and maybe some other functionality.

I got the premium 360 used with everything (1 wired controller, 4 wireless, Wi-Fi adaptor, 3 games) for $350, it was only 1 month old. I basically robbed the poor bastard. I can't imagine paying full price. But I hate the controllers, they always lose connectivity with the box because it thinks its out of power after I charged it all night. It's very tedious to use, it's just like another damn computer to worry about. Some of the functionally doesn't work, like shutting down remotely or opening the disk tray. It doesn't happen all the time though. It's a nice machine, but very buggy.

I am fairly more optimistic than mot about the consoles of this gen (generally speaking) so I don't think about the massive complaints that keep getting repeated because I knew those going in: that 360 makes you pay to play online and the failure rates, that Wii has like no online and that the PS3 is expensive.

The concerns that I have are with smaller things that I didn't see coming:

I have 8 controller to play all the games that I can play on the Wii with someone else.

2 Nunchuks, 2 Wiimotes, 2 classic controllers and 2 gamecube controllers as only some gc games can be played using the classic controller. Those controllers together cost me 210 dollars. On the other hand, PS3 and 360 I can play all the games from past systems and current and downloadable with the same controller for 50 dollars extra (for the 2nd one).

Xbox 360, I didn't expect the failure rates to still be this high this far into its lifespan. I mean I am always afraid of it busting on me at any time and that is just unacceptable.

PS3, the PS network is free as opposed to Live and it started much later so I went in knowing I won't get as much from it at first as I do on the 360's Live. But, the build up for the PSN has been way too slow and inconsistent. It was starting to pick up for a while with MK II online released (great addition) and Tekken: Dark Resurrection for 20 bucks but then it went quiet again. Even the small downloadable games are being delayed constantly and there aren't many of them.

But the thing I cannot understand at all is the lack of demos. The main thing I like about 360's Live are the demos. That I can play and try out games before buying them by merely downloading the demo. The PS3 barely gets any demos. Seriously, why can't Sony and the companies releasing their games see the benefit of lots more demos that could convince customers to buy their games (just look at the Xbox Live demo system it's boosting sales for almost all games when they get released).

Why does it take you so long to get online? I am connected about 10 seconds after I open the internet channel.  It takes about 30 seconds to download games for me. Am I missing something here?

connecting to the nintendo server is what i'm having the most trouble with, i guess it must be the area i live in.

I guess there must be something wrong with the servers in the states. I am really happy with the european server, and watching youtube on my tv

The online thing isn't the Wii's fault.

I am pissed at Nintendo for making seriously flawed versions of all of its early Wii games. Zelda for the graphics, Paper Mario for having 10 minute story scenes every 2 minutes, Wii Sports for generally being extremely buggy. And Damn Nintendo for not putting enough money into the motion sensor technology. Why does the Nunchaku have less powerful motion sensors than that Wiimote. Damn Nintendo for making me go through all of this suspense to find out what their ultimate gameplan is. And Fuck them up the ass for there lack of Online games and Friend codes.

Xbox - Failure rates, expensive accesories, generally being Microsoft (asshats), and too narrow of an audience (ie FPS FPS FPS).
