I've already stated that the Wii is the winner over all... but, this thread is about the 360 and PS3.

Yes, I am in Japan and yes, I am only talking about Jrpgs on the HD systems, cause they're what interest me. I also already said that the 360 is the champ of Wrpg's, which this thread also has nothing to do with!

I have seen some new videos of WKC here in japan and it looks very good.

and it is a sad sad thing. If versus goes multiplatform then i see no hope for the jrpg genre on ps3, even if they were to announce a new exclusive.

 

there is no hope for JRPGs on HD consoles period 360 or PS3. There will be no other big budget 3rd party JRPG for HD consoles besides FF because they just won't sell well enough to recoup their dev costs. Take for example, the new tales game on 360 looks like it could've easily been done on the wii, there's nothing exceptional about the graphics. The new disgaea on ps3 looks like a ps2 game. I don't know why they didn't just take the same path as atlus with P4!

 

I'll agree about ToV (they're going to make most of their console Tales on the Wii anyway so 1 HD Tales isn't going to hurt them much. I expect it to sell 500k WW though so it's not bad.) but for Disgaea no way. Disgaea was never about graphics and never will be. You can't expect Disgaea to look like that because it's Disgaea...

I meant he might be ONLY comparing HD JRPGs. He never said the Wii doesn't count, he just didn't add it because he wanted to compare the PS3 and 360.

So why didn't they just release it on ps2 or even wii? HD tales doesn't look HD. Compared to LO, it looks like ****. M$ probably even subsidized the cost for Namco regardless. I hope it pays off for them!

 

Do you think so? I'm extremely partial to cell-shading, so maybe that's why, but I think it's a beautiful looking game.

It is a beautiful looking game but that is because of it's art style.  The graphics in ToV are not technically impressive

They look new, compared to what I have seen on the net anyway. It has epic written all over it. Really looking forward to TGS too to see and hear more about WKC.

WKS budget and development time is on par with FF games which is the reason many are hyped about it.

PS3 is my favorite console, but seriously. Don't spout retarded info. Sony will have it's RPG line-up, no need to list it.

This whole "King of" crap is getting stupid, no need to rave on about which system has what. Everyone knows what they have.



  • 2010 MUST Haves: WKC, Heavy Rain, GoWIII, Fable III, Mass Effect 2, Bayonetta, Darksiders, FFXIII, Alan Wake, No More Heroes 2, Fragile Dreams: FRotM, Trinity: SoZ, BFBC2.
  • Older Need To Buys: Super Mario Bros. Wii, Mario Kart Wii, Deadspace, Demon's Souls, Uncharted 2.

There is definitely more to list that I want, but that's my main focus there.
