Forums - Nintendo - Wii's missing genre, point+click action.

I'm watching the DS Prince of Persia game and I keep thinking, where are all the Wii games like this.

Phantom Hourglass is another example of what I mean.

The only non-fp action games I can think of that use the pointer are Alien Syndrome (which worked really well, it was the only good part of the game) and Galaxy Wars (which I didn't play enough) but only really for aiming.  PES:08 worked nice from what I hear.

Why not?

Lostwinds use a similar mechanic.

Forgot about Lostwinds.  But I mean with more direct control.

At the risk of having PC fans jump down my throat, a Diablo knock-off could kick a lot of ass on the Wii. Though I'm personally getting tired of games which rely so much on grinding.

I think it would be great idea, add in online play and it will be great.

Does Umbrella Chronicles count...?

^^^ This is what you get for blowing a rumor out of proportion

Wii - New Super Mario Bros. Wii
DS - Glory of Heracels

No because it is in first person view.

Also I don't mean point to aim like a FPS or Light gun game.  More like Alien Syndrom or Galaxy Wars.  You point to change the direction of the avatar.

I mean more isometric/overhead/sidescroller oriented games.  Pointing for shooting and movement (atleast directional).

That PoP game reminds me of the Snes Aladdin did the same people make both games?

But as your on the subject on pointing for shooting, we now need a remake of Super Smash TV on Wii Ware.
