I really cant wait THE DARKNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought the game looked good... but in general I trust EGM reviews and they averaged out to an 8, which drops the game back down pretty low on my list of desired games.

PS3 version for me

CKLMB hit the nail on the head.

I am at about the 2 hour mark and still only have 1 darkness power. I tried a few rounds of shapeshifter online deathmatch to get a little more feel for the darkness though. And its quite a rush scurrying around running on walls trying to leap and claw people as a darkling.

but it is a very cinematic game, quite immersive.

the lack of a map has frustrated me some, and hes right about the fact that you have to LISTEN to what people tell you. (street names/directions)

so to summarize , its meeting all expectations at this very early 2 hour mark. the opening scene blew me away.

(i had this pre-ordered through ebgames and it arrived early via UPS today)

yeah three cheers for that opening scene.

I played more - still good but I dont wanna type impressions till I get further along...

If I didnt say it before, this game hasme VERY excited for that Silent Hill 5 could be.

The Darkness cant wait!!!!!!!! im getting the PS3 version because of the extra content but i didnt know it had trophies. can anyone find the link to The Darkness having trophies. If it doesn't have trophies i might get the 360 version because of achievements.

I thought that only the 360 version featured downloadable content. Is there some other differences between the two versions that I don't know about?

Ok if you guys haven't gotten to the 2nd chapter yet. Expect a fuckin huge surprise at the end of chapter one and beginning of chapter 2.

I mean totally out of nowhere, totally unexpected turn of events.

I was getting worried a little with the game getting stale but seriously this game's twists are like a punch to the face but in a good way :)

Also I have lots of more powers and creatures now and it is getting a lot funner to decide how to approach a certain situation and what to use.

After the opening, I was starting to think the game was going to be good but not as good as I hoped but it is starting to really impress me again.

Also, beware in chapter 2 things get very confusing, keep checking to figure out which way you're supposed to go :)

Most cinematic game I have played in my life hands down I can say that now without even palying the rest of the game. Has its flaws but they are well meaning such as the lack of maps and need to look for street maps is more realistic, same with talking with ppl for hints.

Really liking this game and the guys behind it and their attention to detail and dark humor

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

The PS3 version has aliasing issues and sporadic slowdown compared to the 360 version (at least according to reviews from sites like IGN).  Maybe the 360 was the lead console and that's why the PS3 version can't keep up.  The PS3 version apparently has an extra video in the game so that sort of makes up for it.
