im bored and i have money to spend on the MSN music store, ive no idea what to buy as i have all the stuff i know i like, im a big fan of oasis, blur, pulp and rem, so anything in that sort of style of music id like, just post videos and stuff so i can decide what to get, thanks for your help in advance.

One of REM's biggest influences was a band called The Soft Boys, particularly their 1980 album Underwater Moonlight. But my recommendation is the debut solo album by Robyn Hitchcock (their singer/songwriter/guitarist), 1981's Black Snake Diamond Role, or his acoustic album from 1984, I Often Dream of Trains.
He's got a lot of live videos on YubeTube.
