hahaha, its no halo killer. Maybe if Retro makes a online-only metroid, it may happen.

Looks great, but I agree it's not a "halo killer." As far as FPS games go nothing is a Halo killer. This isn't even the same GENRE as Halo. This is an adventure, not a random shooter.

If it were to have a nice online multiplayer, and the controls really are revolutionary, I would put my vote on it being a "halo killer". No multiplayer, no killing.
Best Metroid Prime yet, however.
Not a Halo Killer, but surely the new step in FPS gaming.

The Metroid universe just doesn't belong in an online multiplayer FPS. This game is not competing with Halo, and it shouldn't try.
Most games are Halo killers in terms of graphics, sound, and depth. But Halo succeeds with the most important aspect; Gameplay. Nothing can beat online multiplayer in Halo. It's just too damn fun.
I have to admit, the game has seen an improvement... but it still could look better.

ya know. I really like the metroid prime series. Much better than halo. However, it will not beat halo3 in sales. why? too complicated for the average halo fan. They can only run and shoot. It takes time to walk around and scan shit. Look for the tiniest details in the walls and so on. The only way this could even come close is if it had an amazing online multi-player option. So if that is not shown off during E3, then, no halo killer.
However, I will buy this and not Halo 3.
I am still really hoping Metriod will have some kind of online play or even split screen play, as time goes on that hope is fading, I will still get it anyway (like Max Payne) but it'll be a shame if it didn't have it. As a PC FPS gamer I'm used to having an online element in my games and I normally play it for far longer the main story.
As for Halo beater, forget it....I'm looking for something thats better then Outcast.

Agreed on not being a Halo killer, but otherwise I disagree.
I'm honestly surprised that Metroid Prime remains the only First Person Adventure franchise in existence (the essential distinction being that this game emphasizes exploration over action). It's initial offering is considered one of the top ten or twenty games ever created by critics; why is no one following suit? Why are all First Person games still about blowing crap up, and not about discovery? I'm not asking that they all transfer over, but given the reception of Metroid Prime, you'd figure at least one other game would enter the sub genre.
