Forums - Sony - Kojima: "PS3 is a monster machine"

poorly texture in MGS4, less technical than some games in 2005

lightning and shadow, even poor than Splinter cell 3....

So i think he say PS3 is a monster machine, 4 years of development, just have this kind of graphic ......

I'm finding it difficult to take you seriously (1 post count - an alt acc?).

Please could you provide some justification for your statements? i.e. pics of the bad textures, lighting and shadows?

Thanks

After 4 years of development a budget of around 70 mill, and the fact that a lot of third partys stated how hard and expensive can be work on the PS3, how can anybody spin it in a bad way???

First, you are blind.  Second, all games have texture issues, its up to you to choose to seem them or not.  There are a couple of places in Gears of War that the metal textures are awful.  Sorry, thats just the way it is.

I have 2 words regarding your comment on development time ... Too Human.

Its pretty much what was said about PS2...its new, its powerful, its not supposed to be really easy at first...Im sure that if kojima decides to make MGS5 it will cost less and come out quicker (which is why I think he will make it...).

Sony sharing tools and info in between its studios has made the learning curve much better, and the quality and amount of games rolling out over the next 12 months shows that.

I'd consider this "monster" to be like calling a 1986 911 twin turbo a monster...if you don't know what you're doing, you'll slam a wall hard in the first corner, or you'll over compensate by driving too slow...if you do know what you are doing, you will be fast, real fast. So its not all positive, or negative, but overall, its praise IMO (sometimes I just sit here and hope I make sense :D )

It'll be 2-4 more years for them to make any new game.

I bet you someone is going to make a joke that goes along the lines of this:

"It is a monster machine. Look at the size of it!"

...then it's no wonder it gives me nightmares.

You fail. I suspect an alternate account here. Who could you be?

Of course, but there is little and insignifican diference, the PS2 was the console of choice but because it was winning... right now is not the same, just the small fact that a lot of devs are going for multi instead of choosing just the PS3 says more about budgedt, userbase and hard time working on the PS3 rather than the small coincidences with the PS2...
