Come on - how did MGS4 take advantage of the PS3? There's only one aspect and one aspect only it could've taken advantage of and that's the increased storage. It's a stunning looking game but it's not "that" stunning at the same time.

MGS4 could so easily be done on the 360 and on PC on DVD's.

he said the game took so long because the system is a monster.  doesnt sound friendly to me.

@MrMarc:Obviously in a well worth PC this could be done,but on 360 it could not become so good,remember how Kojima states that they focus on the high expecs capabilities of the PS3.

Did he mean monster in a good or bad way? A monster as in its really powerful or a monster as in you have to fight it, to get to do what you want?

All the envious fanboys commin' in to try and make his statement sound like it was bad, hahahah.

The game looks ferkin' hot and goes down in history as one of "THE BEST"!

let's just remember the history of the PS platforms and their generational boosts in visuals. Guarenteed to be a huge difference in looks with the next MG.

We will see big differences with 3rd and 4th gen games on the PS3, now that's a fact.

i thought the statement was a very positive one.

like when you point to the new Mitsubishi Evolution X and say: that car is a monster, it eats up everything the road can throw at it.

except he didnt say something positive after referring to it as a monster.  it was negative.

but he did say something positive before it:

"In the last two years, we've known what the PS3 is capable of, the specifications of it and how we can utilise it," he continued. "PS3 is a monster machine. That's why it took so much time to create Metal Gear Solid 4."

ie. it took some time to get used to and make good games, but now the capabilities of the machine are known it's a monster. The reason why it took so long it took to make MGS4, is because it took time to realise the mosnter capabilties of the machine.

it's all in the way you chose to interpret the last paragraph. to me that sounds positive. hard at first, but worth it to make a game of MGS4 standard.
