“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.
What exactly does an epilepsy test entail? Who's the poor epileptic who has to play games till he seizures?

Prediction Aug '08: We see the PSP2 released fall '09. Graphically, it's basically the same as the current system. UMD drive ditched and replaced by 4-8gb on board flash memory. Other upgrades: 2nd analog nub, touchscreen, blutooth, motion sensor. Design: Flip-style or slider. Size: Think Iphone. Cost: $199. Will be profitable on day 1.
This game probably made the testers temporarily blind, foam in the mouth, and a little abnormal fidgeting, and its only in the main menu screen

Just take a look at the surfaces of the tracks and notice all these color patterns, you don't find that stuff in other racing games. In the case of this game they (probably) have just overdone the lighting and/or these patterns, that's why it gets hard to look at when playing the game for a while. The actual speed of the game won't be reduced, the graphics will get an overhaul and that's about it. |
This is the truth. I wonder how long it will take though.
If its too much for our eyes to handle, how did they develop the game?
That is the greatest advertising line ever.
"A game so good, it was toned down as it was too much for human eyes to handle."
Hmm, pie.

They are not really porting it. They have to make a new engine to get it to run at 1080p instead of just on a PSP, and although many of the tracks are old, it is a new game
