Interesting ,I think it could very well end up like that .....except the X360 number ,too big for what we are seeing .

koffieboon, the reason is, Wii is selling like the leading console (PS2), 360 is selling like the second place console (360), and PS3 is selling like the losing console (GC). So I used the comparable extrapolations.
None of this is an exact science, it is meant as loose guideline for what kind of sales growth we can expect - realistically - in December for the USA market.

And did you also take into consideration some of those consoles have been supply constrained?
Hmm... Well, I think for PS3 you got a good number... 800K sounds about right...
For Wii, I'm not sure they'll have 2 million available.
And for 360, there's no way it does 2 million. The brand has never gotten close to that, doesn't have a killer app after October, and has put up pitiful numbers over the last few months.

It's numbers this summer have been the same as last summer, and before Xmas it could see a price drop and will see several killer apps that should move more systems than Gears did last year. Since last year the 360 did 1.1 million in the US alone last December according to NPD, those factors should push it up to at least 1.5 million and from there and adding in Canada 2 million in the Americas in December isn't too much of a stretch.

1.5M USA/.5M Canada? 33% of USA in Canada? That's a pretty giant stretch, actually. A more reasonable 5-10% puts 360 at 1.575-1.65 million.
