Namco trademarks newest Tales name in North America

Fans of the Tales series, it would appear the possibility of the latest DS title, Tales of Hearts, to come to North America has become a bit more plausible. Thanks to Spencer over at Siliconera, we have word that Namco has trademarked the term for North America? Coincidence? We think not!

So, it would seem that eventually the game should be making its way to our shores. Until then, we'll just sit back, relax and wait for an official announcement.

I had a feeling we would get Hearts after reading that players can choose between cgi and anime cutscenes. Can't wait for an official announcement, assuming it will come. EDIT: 100th post!

They seem to be trying to appeal to Americans by having the options of CGI and anime cutscenes

I'm mildly surprised by this since Tales of Innocence was never localized.

I sorta knew it would be trademarked by them

Ok reading the comments from the link, it seems Innocence was also trademarked but never brought over. I still think this has the best chance of the three DS games of being localized.

Well, considering the other two have been more or less guaranteed not to come here, I most definitely agree
