Thats nice but you arent sure, why attack him when your not sure and he is telling you differently. In his defence, I see Wii's all the time at walmart and target, and ever FYE in my local mall.

 I vouch for what Fishy Joe said.  Last year around this time I saw a few Wii in stock, but come November the rush was on.  I suspect that most parents are getting ready for school days again and buying a video console is not on their list right now.

Thanks for your attempts to defend me, but I've heard all of this self-righteous crap before. In my last ebay Wii post, the now mod twesterm published my email in an attempt to make sure I get spammed until I die because he disagreed with what I was doing.

@wale - I understand your lack of belief, but I have no reason to lie. Actually, the two Wiis I did get from gamestop, I got lucky. I'm lucky enough to have a manager to keep me on simply for the purpose of abusing the 15% discount we get, and as such, I've worked exactly 8 hours there year-to-date. I'd post a scan of my last pay stub, but two things would happen: One - I'd get accused to photoshopping, and two - that's a serious ID theft risk.

This thread isn't about the moral implication of selling them, it's just a collection of data. I'm sorry you felt the need to turn this into something else, but like I said, if you want to flame me, please send me a PM.

I don't quite understand. I only posted numbers for the Wii. The situation was the same very shortly after launch for the PS3, but within a month, prices stabilized and people were only paying retail for them. I know this because I sold a PS3 for a loss three weeks before Christmas in 2006.

However, timing is apparently everything when it comes to this business.

I don't care that people sell wii's at 150% retail price on eBay (well I do, but assuming I didn't). It's how they do it.

They list them as " new wii 14 games 2 controllers *NEW*" But it is really just a regular wii with wii play with it. Gamers like me know better, but some old granny might not.

 hes not getting his wiis from gamestop. gamestop hardly gets shipments of wiis compared to best buy or any other large retail store. there are only so many wiis you can actually get from gamestop.
