What was that article trying to prove? That was one of the stupidest, most un-educating thing I have ever read on an actual news site. I'm not against Sony either, but that article was just....fail.

EDIT: Also, "lol" at the kid. He didn't know what Blu-Ray disks were, yet he is some expert on videogames? Hahahhaha, I bet he doesn't even know that Metal Gear Solid 4 is the FOURTH game in the series..wonder if he'll be able to figure that out. =P

i also found it interesting he only heard of mgs4 at the e3 that just passed.

what was up with that comment about ninjas even. lol

That is the most hilarious article I've ever read.

So her "expert" gaming son:

1. Never owned a ps2.
2. Never heard of MGS4 until after E3.
3. Represents all gamers in the world.

LOL

What the lady probably forgot to realize, is that her son is in his early teens now. We all know that young boys start to have urges around this age. So her son hears from his friends or around the net, that in Metal Gear Solid 4 you can make Rose's boobs jiggle when you shake the controller. Going with his urges and not thinking properly with his brain, packs up the 360 and trades it in. ^-^ The brain will always lose in this battle.

Eh, that was actually a pretty lame read.

OMG! My kid likes x system-- we have a worldwide winner!

I live with the ultimate expert on the video game industry—my 16-year-old son.

But he’s never been a PlayStation fan. Sure, he had a PS1, but as soon as the Xbox came out, it was game over. He loved the Xbox graphics, and once he was old enough to play “Halo,” he loved the games. He graduated to the Xbox 360, Xbox Live, “Gears of War,” etc. He even hung in there during the overheating Xbox “red ring of death” phase. Other than a two-year detour/obsession playing “World of Warcraft” on his computer, he has always been an Xbox fanboy. Sony just didn’t have great games.

Am I the only one who thinks that the bolded parts are a little... weird?

the whole article is weird.

Most people dk what Blu ray disks r. The tech and discs were invented over 10 years ago and its not that surprising that gamers wouldn't understand the significance of more storage and a thinner blue laser. Frankly i knew about this before home entertainment sales knew wtf i was talking about, but am in really that interested as a gamer. Who cares

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.
