I doubt Nintendo's online set-up would allow for the online 'lobby' feels they are going for. Probably everyone would have to have a friendcode before you could 'see' them on the mountain. Unless Ubisoft uses their own online solution. It is possible but I seriously doubt the casual user they are going for would even care about it, so I doubt it'll be there.

Didn't Nintendo announced this would be coming out exclusively on Wii this year. Kinda like a timed exclusive. REmember them saying that in their conference. Am I mistaken?

Yea but this suggests it's not even timed haha.

I mean I knew it wasn't exclusive forever when at the Ubisoft conference they showed the other versions. Hell I didn't even know the Wii version was going to have online til this thing haha.

As for the online, they said there was gonna be a big lobby, something no game has done so far on the Wii. And seeing the games are totally different comparing the HD version and the Wii version, the best we could expect is what they did with nitrobike.

What leads you to believe the Wii version will have a robust online interface? ...
That's another reason why I hate Ubisoft, they make their announcements so vague that no one knows anything until the game is 1 week away from release.

Ever play EA Sports games online, like Madden etc? They all have a lobby system. I don't see why this wouldn't be on the wii as well. After all it sounds like they are putting it on their own servers so, it could by pass Nintendo's Friend Codes like EA does.

I'm almost positive this refers to the HD versions only. Had it been Wii specific, or even inclusive for that matter, the article would have stated as such.
