Forums - Nintendo - Super Metroid

Man I completely forgot how awesome this game really is. I was 20yrs old when I originally played this game. I only played it through once on a borrowed SNES because at this point in my life I had taken a complete backseat to video games. As I had much bigger issues going on. I really wish I was a pre/teen when this game came out. It would have easily dominated a lot of my time. Such a step up from the original Metroid.

Addition of the progressive map is a huge plus. A ton of new add ons for Samus that really make the game a fantastic experience.

I have played for about 4hrs. I have Defeated the new and improved Spore Spawn, Kraid, Crocomire, and the Phantoon in the wrecked ship. I am about to go into fight Ridley. I have all of the selectable powerups and only need a couple non-selectable powerups. I have all of the energy tanks and 2 reserve tanks.

This game is pure win. I should be able to finish it over the next two evenings. This will definitely not be the last time I play this game now.

The game is ingenious, I hope to play it myself again when I get on VC.

Pixel Art can be fun.

another download for the VC for me , all I need is points!

THE BEST GAME EVER. I love this game so much. I play it at least once every 2-4 months. I just finished my 16th playthrough 2 weeks ago.

The ending always caught me with a tear in my eye. Don't forget to free the etecoons!

I was quite annoyed to see that all of the 'innovations' I saw for the first time in Metroid Prime were actually the same in Super Metroid.

Even the 3D hexagonal-prism map. Which was weird, since it was the SNES - I never would have guessed...

Still, Metroid Prime was the better game in my opinion.

Is probably the best Metroid (At least IMO), replay it and try to get a better time, I can't remember if you need to get less than 2:30hrs or 3:30hrs... Still there is something more...

A great game indeed...

At the end when you are scaping, you can help those litle creatures (The ones who help you) to scape too, there is a secret room before reaching the surface, there they are hidding, shooting a door/block will open a paht for them... and getting less than 3:30 or 2:30 gives you Samus without the the Suit...

By me:

Made with Blender + LuxRender
"Since you can´t understand ... there is no point to taking you seriously."

I was a pre teen then this game came out. Between this and FF 3 wow what a year for SNES.

I got this on the VC a few months ago. I really liked it, but never got around to playing it too much as I sucked majorly at the combat and I had a lot of other games...I'll have to get back to it soon.
