I wish they wouldn't give SO much credit to Heath Ledger's death...I think a majority of the audience was infinitely hyped for his performance yes, and I'm sure his death cause a bunch more tickets sold, but I think it would have done nearly the same even if Ledger was still alive. I know I was infinitely excited for both the movie overall and especially Heath as the Joker long before he died.

Same here bro, I loved his performance. Throughout the whole movie I just wanted to see Ledger play those Joker parts. But when I came home my little sis was like, yea bruce, ledger past away in Feb. Right before the movie was just being done.

I was like WTF!!?!?

I didn't think TDK would take Spideys biggest opening(but very glad it did). Thought it would get close but not actually beat it. A first week of $250m is not out of the question.
Poor Hellboy 2 got absolutely crushed though.

Playing: Borderlands(great co-op,HUGE amount of content),Too Human(better late than never lol),Saints Row 3(Penetrator ftw),Minecraft 360,Harry Potter Lego.

Patiently waiting for: Tomb Raider, Borderlands 2

Sidey 3 doesn't deserve to even almost beat the dark knights opening day.
