^ The person who told you that did not lie. IIIs story didn't age very well, and was quickly outdated, and now it seems as if the story is nonexistent, while IV has one of the best story's in the series. A much better story than almost all FFs afterward. I would say the only other FF with a better story imo is VI.

FFIV is a great game. It's still one of my favorite FF games. I love FFVI the most, but IV is right behind it as a classic. I don't have my old SNES copy anymore, but I do have the Super Famicom version(in Japanese). I need to pick up the DS game sometime :)
