Forums - Gaming - Which version of FFXIII you are going to buy?

First of all, this is only preliminary poll. We don`t know when FFXIII is Coming in Japan and will it have english subtitles or not. We don`t know when the game is coming in USA or Europe. We don`t know, if x360 NA version will be region free or not(since ps3 version will be). We don`t know on how many dvds game is coming. We don`t know by how much x360 version will be compressed(audio, cg trailler and even maybe visuals). We don`t know, if both version will be equal in visuals, loading times and etc.(x360 will be a port of PS3, while ps3 is a port of pc, so x360 will be a port of port..).
And there are many other things that we don`t know. =))
Ok.

1. You are PS3 owner and going to buy PS3 version of FFXIII.
2. You will be PS3 owner and going to buy PS3 version of FFXIII.
3. You are X360 owner and going to buy X360 version of FFXIII.
4. You will be X360 owner and going to buy X360 version of FFXIII.
5. You are PS360 owner and going to buy PS3 version of FFXIII.
6. You will be PS360 owner and going to buy PS3 version of FFXIII.
7. You are PS360 owner and going to buy X360 version of FFXIII.
8. You will be PS360 owner and going to buy X360 version of FFXIII.
9. After FFXIII went multi, you don`t think, that now game will be "BEST Game Ever" and not planning to buy it.
10. Undecided.

2009.04.30 - PS3 will OUTSELL x360 atleast by the middle of 2010. Japan+Europe > NA.


Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

 

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.
PS2 2001 vs PS3 2008 sales numbers =) + New games released in Japan by 2009 that passed 100k so far

You don't have an option for "I never cared about FFXIII, and despite being a PS3 or 360 owner I don't care at all." If you make one of those, add me to that (as a current PS3 owner who never cared to buy it).

I'm a PS3 owner and will be buying FF13 day1, i'm not a big fan of RPG's, but i like the CG video's or whatever you call them and this series has them all over the place.

That's what i would of chose, i'm not intrested whatsoever.

#5. i'm playing lost odyssey on the 360 and i keep getting the screen that says my disk is dirty, i don't want to have to go through that with xiii.

Obviously created by someone who doesn't understand the file size increase created by uncompressed HD graphics and audio.  Compressed SD version of MGS4 with Wii level graphics could easily be done on a disc or two.

I'm sure it was created just to be a funny joke, and it accomplishes its goal.  We all know the game could fit on one disc with wii graphics, and the wii does not even support Dolby Digital or DTS sound or whatever else, so no worries about compressing already small files.
