I don't know if this PR statement is true, the part where it say "and offers the worlds most infamous blue hedgehog the chance to become a knight. " is fishy.
I mean Sega call Sonic "infamous" ? WTF !

So if it's true they got the Secret Rings story book formula and added a sword to fight... WHY SEGA???

These guys are retards, it's like they're doing this on purpose. They have a very good concept and they're like "How should we fuck this up...?"

If its a real sequel to Sonic and the Secret Rings then Im all in! never played Sonic and the Secret Rings and yet it became a million seller. what more if Sonic team takes out the flaws of he previous game. Im sure buying this when its out...

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

 

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

 

E3 2010- Tape runs out

Because the Wii is a cash cow right now, SEGA will be more richer if they have a exclusive Wii game.

Sonic and the Secret Rings was shit. This probably will be too.

Why can't Sega make a decent 3D Sonic game? All they would have to do is make it like Sonic 2 or 3 but in 3D.

UPDATE: The official press release has just landed on our desk, complete with further details on the title. It follows on from Sonic and the Secrtet Rings as the second part of the Wii exclusive storybook series, and is being developed by Sonic Team in Japan. Transporting Sonic back to an Arthurian medieval world, it arms Sonic with a sword to tackle his foes. It's currently scheduled for release in Spring 2009, so keep a look out for more details here as they emerge.

While continuing the secret ring storyline is great, if the sword requires stop-and-hack it would cut the pace and the whole speed factor. Unleashed will face the same issues. Why they couldn't stick with Secret Rings controls by fixing only the backwards walk?

Secret rings is the only game on the Wii I ever bought. There is a lot more wrong with the controls than the backwards walk. Such as... EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE CONTROLS. THE GAME IS TERRIBLE! Having Sonic run at all times was one of the worst bits of game design ever created. EVER. Perhaps they drafted in the teams behind Superman 64 and Big rigs to give them advice.
