If the Wii does when this generation the world will be in a sad state, Hillary Clinton will be president of the US w/the door opening for arnold swartzinager to be elligable (this will happen regrdless), and people will be on the 5 itertion of the Wii by 2015 having spent 1200 USD on consoles while also purchasing a Blu-Ray player, because you will barley be able to find DVDs and all the retards will still be in debt because they are incapable of looking to the future when they make a decisions.

P.S. To all of you pieces of shit that only support Nintendo in thier fine job of fucking over the consumer. The next Playstation will not be 599.99 at launch Ken Kuteragi is gone and Sony did the PS3 the way it is on purpose. Ken was ready to go into retirment, and wanted to lay a foundation of what the future of Playstation needed. The next playstation will have a Cell processorbut it will be 50 times more powerful than cell in PS3, but very cost effective because ken laid out the path. The next Playstation will use Blu-Ray for all of you that have not been paying attiontion the last 3 years Blu-ray has the ability to get 8x bigger than it is right now. The only new tech in the PS4 will be the jointly developed nVidia and Sony GPU. PS4 will cost 499.99 at launch.

 

Ha if there is a ps4, sony says they might not need a ps4 O_o

The funny thing about a Mona Lisa comparison is that she has HORRIBLE graphics anyone with a camera can get a much more realistic looking picture. Even art isn't dependent on how good the graphics are. It's what you do with your graphics.

How does Wii winning put Hillarly Clinton in Office?  Also how does Hillary in office cause a foreign born republican to run for president?   This is seriously like the worst post i've ever read in my life. 

 Besides which... when you can't get DVDs anymore and can only get Blu-Ray, Blu-Ray players will cost the same price as DVD players cost now.

Also I think Graphics can end up going to far if the better graphics consoles always win. I mean photorealism is great in a first person game. Not so much in a shooter. I'd be a little worried about someone who was real hyped up blowing out someones head in a photrealistic game.

 Because, doing this makes the companies sell the consoles at a lose so they lose stuff, the developers have to risk more money when trying to put out games, and the customers have to shell out thousands of dollars to play out some worn-down story just for thier video game fix. It's more selfish to make Sony win this gen then to wish for Sony to lose. Or something like that.

To respond to the OP in two sentences:

1) The Wii can't destroy immersive gameplay, even if it somehow sets a new standards for consoles to have bad graphics (very unlikely); there will always be the PC to advance graphics.
2) It's not like if the Wii wins this generation, companies like Intel, IBM, and nVida will stop advancing their work; and these are the companies that are constantly working to push graphical capabilities, not secondary companies like Sony. Lol
