I have altered the models of the consoles at the $250 price. a bit more realistic. Could be a glimpse of console prices in 18 months time.

Nintendo fans arguing against a Sony fan. there is always going to be difference in opinion.
If someone wants game play over graphics they should chose a Wii including Nintendo fans and non gamers/ casuals and Wii specialises in party games, not much fun for single player only.
If a person chose graphics over game play they would chose a PS3. PS3 is great for both online and single player games on the PS3 are better than the other two consoles.
X360 well is just a much cheaper stripped down version of PS3 but X360 does not have Blu-Ray and you have to pay for online, main X360 selling point is large games library of varying quality.

lol, now that you've changed the OP, the hole thread is pretty much BS because all the post up until now were made on the "original" assumptions..... now it seems that everyone would prefer the 40GB non-BC PS3 over wii an 60GB 360pro.

change the OP back to original so that anyone can understand on what basis all the posters made their choices...

 

PS: first post (but long-time reader) because I am SO annoyed by Rock-on's posts/ thread and I'm dissappointed that no one besides vaio tries to oppose this...

If the PS3 were to keep the same features and be priced $250, it would be the best buy.

The consumer might be happy. But still, Sony will be losing loads of money per PS3 sold due to the cost of the internal components. And as a result, the shareholders get really upset, probably forcing Sony to cut down or even discontinue the PS division!

The rules have changed. The thread is now fixed so it gives a favourable and a more realistic approach.

By changing from 80GB BC to 40GB Non BC the cost of the PS3 console is a lot cheaper.
