When will the PS2 be yanked?  Sony currently needs it for $$ to support the PS3 and developing countries like India and China is a no brainer but when will they make the PS3 a true successor and not a competitor? 

My prediction--late 2009 to early 2010.

since they have yet to drop the price to 99 dollars.. then all signs point to a few more years

well if they go with their 10 year plan.. they released in 2000-2001... well.... 2010-2011 ? i guess .

They should drop the price in the begining of 2009 and ps2 will finish the year with great sales and leave room for ps3 so sony can focuse only on ps3.

After christmas 2009, I say...

When it comes to market impact? It will be dead by this year's holiday season.

However, when it comes to production, I'd say early 2011.
