Sooner or later games will support trophies.

The points system of Microsoft does have it's charm (it's certainly more straightforward), but the one thing better done in the Trophy system is at-a-glance platinum trohies.

Being able to see just how many games someone completly 'owned' on his gamercard is a very nice feature imho. The same thing goes for the other thropies, you can spot if someone is 'trophy-whoring' without having to drill down. Can't do that with Gamerscore.

I do agree it should be easier to spot what to do to level though.

I haven't even downloaded the Update, that is how much of a dust collecter my PS3 is, it is a good implementation, but it should of had more games to support it.


And i agree, Gamerscore is heaps better.

And I agree with MATURE. I don't own a 360 and when someone says they have 5000 points, I have no clue if that's a good or a bad thing. But as soon as people start getting trophies, you can much easier be impressed by someone who is level 5, because you know it took a lot of work, exactly like you know that 5000 points take a lot of work, once you start getting them yourself.

I'm pretty sure Sony said that trophy support wasn't going to be mandatory before some time this fall, to make sure that games close to release aren't getting their schedules fucked over by the extra work.

Everyone can't drop everything and patch trophies into games. People have stuff to do. Like get future games out on time.

Resistance 1 won't get trophies because 2 is coming out in a matter of months. BioShock is getting trophies, as is RockBand, Uncharted, PixelJunk Eden, Burnout Revenge, Warhawk, and most, if not all games released from the holiday season and beyond.

By looking at trophies, i don't have a fucking clue if level 1 and 1 trophy is good, when i look at someones Gamerscore, and look at their Acheivements (What you get Gamerscore from), it tells you WHAT game, WHAT Aheivement and HOW many points you get.

Okay, first of all, I have no clue where I can go and see that stuff, because again, I don't have a 360 nor do I have a Live-account, so you would have to tell me what you did to earn that stuff or direct me to somewhere where I can see it. If you don't, then I'm no closer to understanding how much work went into getting those points than I was before.

Besides, you can compare trophies with people on your friendslist (don't know if you can with people you're just playing with, I'm not much of an online player) to see exactly what trophies they have compared to the ones you have.

So, like I said before, your previous post seems more like trolling than anything else, but was that just because you were uninformed or was it intentional?

There is comparing acheivements, in GTAIV (Can be done in ALL games, not just a selected few)

On PC and the console itself.

You can do it with ANYONE who you have met online, aswell as your whole freinds list.
