I say its Epic or Atari
maybe Capcom
I am really curious how well it will do. 2009 we will see
Nah, I would bet on Ubisoft or Activision publishing this. Fits in their portfolio, and it helps expand the audience for FPS on Wii, which can help their franchises like Red Steel and Call of Duty.
This is not a game for Nintendo. It's a Western game, it should get a Western publisher.
@BengaBenga
If your counting Ubi as western and Nintendo as eastern then Ubi really shouldn't have published Drakengaurd or No More Heroes because those are eastern games. >.>
I'd say Sega is going to publish it and as for who said that... probably THQ or Sega ^_^, maybe even Capcom, but I doubt it was Ubisoft or EA or Activision - those guys are too busy testing the water to have biases at the moment.
I'm Unamerica and you can too.
The Official Huge Monster Hunter Thread:
THQ: Has deBlob and Deadly Creatures, so that's not the one
Sega: Uhm, they're almost single handedly saved by the Wii, no way
Capcom: Sure has done mainly ports, but good ones and in the mature category, and sales have been very good for their most mature titles, so probably the last one to mock this project.
I think it should be in the area of Valve, Epic, iD etc. Publishers that don't have a clue about the Wii.
@dib8: That's not what I meant. I meant that Nintendo (and most Japanese devs) don't have experience with publishing FPS titles so are not the prime candidate to publish The Conduit.
Unfortunately I think this is more of the norm with publishers than any of us could imagine. It's definitely ugly but it's the business and economics side of the market. If you know your product is going to make a decent profit with a half-assed game, then why even go to the trouble to make it better? The only way for consumers to fight back is by not buying crapped out shovelware. Unfortunately for the Wii, the expanded audience loves to buy shovelware...

I don't think it would be valve, regardless of their views on the Wii, simply because I can't name a single time that they allowed something to just be 'crapped out' with their name on it. Orange Box PS3 is the closest that comes to mind, and even that wouldn't be able to be defined as 'crapped out', just 'poorly ported because they didn't want to try, so allowed someone else to give them royalties and do it themselves'.

@BengaBenga
GoldenEye sais hi.
THQ - Doesn't publish shooters or if they do I've don't recall any at all.
Sega - Sega single-handedly saved the Wii? When? With what? Nights sais hi. (It's in my drawer.)
Capcom - They have this notion that it's multiplatform of bust, I don't think they want to even try an exclusive. Zack n' Wiki yea, yea but a puzzle games isn't mainstream at the moment and FPS's are, investments are sure to be made in something that's expected to sell like hotcakes, the thing is not on the Wii, I've only seen a few capcom ad's this cycle: Lost Planet and Devil May Cry nuff said?

He said sega was saved BY the wii. Looking at Sega's financials and Mario and Sonic, that certainly is not too far off the mark.
Capcom: Spyborgs is an exclusive last I checked. Maybe when a single console is still able to give them a reasonable return on investment, they don't care so much about multiplatforms?
