Forums - Microsoft - I hate Mass Effect!

I really hated that fight, opponents with (whatever they called magic in that game) are a pain, getting knocked down when there's nothing you can do about it really sucks.

With ME I never found the auto-save feature very effective so I tried to save every 5 minutes or so, it takes you out of the game a bit but it's far more effective then constantly redoing the same battles.

I have done the first part, now I have to go through the 5 minute conversation again

And FYI: Benezia and her Asari commandos are easy if you take them on later, by beating the other 2 main-story missions.

Otherwise: As soon as the cutscene ends, run and find the nearest, stable group of boxes to hide behind, and take out the Asari Commandos one by one. If your teammates are smart, they'll be in the same area you are (for me, I stay on the northwest side of the building). Slowly pick off the commandos with an Assault rifle, or whatever you want to use.

I think I died once in the 2 times I've beaten Benezia - once on Normal, and once on Hardcore w/o having the Asari girl (can't think of her name off the top of my head), which makes it harder.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

I think colourful language is in order to be honest. No idea how it works as I haven't played the game for about 6 months. sorry :(

Run around the back, and make sure the glass is between you and her. Then take out all her minions. Once she is alone, take her out.

For me, it auto saved right when the door opened. (I only remember that on the PC version, I don't think I died on the 360 run through)

I died a few times when I first encountered her on normal, but only because I attempted to kill her right away, which isn't possible. I didn't die when facing her on hardcore and only once on insanity.

mrstickball's strategy is the one I used. Do Therum and Feros before Noveria. Also, make sure you have your best shredder rounds equipped to take down the Asari Commandos faster. Every wave of enemies Benezia sends at you has a few Geth, so switch to Tungsten rounds when necessary to take them out.

Also, I never used auto-save. Ignore it and simply save constantly throughout the game.

Just did it like 6th time like, Tali (the one in the mask) is really bad, she keeps dying, but she is the only way to give my squad some sort of balance, with Shepard a warrior, and I have to have Wrex, cause he is awesome...

There are definitely too many elevators in this game...
and there are still loading breaks, and there is noticable texture pop-ins... but it is still a great game

Well, maybe hate is a bit strong. Annoyed at would be better. I spent 2 hours yesterday going through peak 15(?) and died when I got to Benezia. Not a problem, I think, the autosave wil have kicked in and saved my game just before I met her. But NO! I am back at the fucking begining of the level and have to do it all again.

When does the autosave do its thing?

watch ur words .... so many spy's here lol.

  1. As long as you keep it out of the thread titles I don't care about language for the most part.  I might have issues with a paragraph long string of cuss words but that post has no problems.
  2. Benzia is a bitch-- I fucking hate her too.  I died so many times on here (because I went to her first) I almost quit the game.

I enjoyed the game and am anticipating the sequel. My biggest complaints were that the main story line is ridiculously short (can be done in 6-8 hours) and the side missions are extremely repetitive and can get a bit boring. Would it have been that difficult to add some alternate base designs for the side missions? There's basically four: above gound, underground, mining and cargo ship.

Bringing Down The Sky was fun. I hope they release more DLC missions soon.

i took mass effect back after i freed that alien queen thing in the tank. it was a game that didnt grip me till the end.

but many many people love this game.
