Robert Downey Jr. I don't know if Jr. counts as a word but I am. His role, the comedian. win!

Robert Downey Jr. isn't The Comedian. Jeffrey Dean Morgan is playing him.

Also this movie is going to own. Zack Snyder will be as faithful as possible to Watchmen. He already stated the original ending is staying intact. Spoiler: Ozymandius gets away with the attack on Manhattan. He won't apprehended at all to make it more movie like.. Just look at how faithful Snyder kept things in 300. I agree Watchmen is not very movie friendly, but this is the man that would create the best version possible of it. About Alan Moore, he's a genius, but completely against any of his movies getting made. He's had problems with every one of them, so this is no surprise.

Actually the end of the comic implies something else, look at the last page and see what happens.

SPOILER DON`T READ BELOW (talks about the end of the comic)

As I remember, Rorschach´s diary with all the truth of what happens is about to be found by this kid in a newspaper. That means that the newspaper people will know about it, print on the paper, Ozymandias will be discovered as the true villain and everything he tried to accomplish will fail

SPOILER END

I hope the director keeps it as close to the comics as possible

Looks really kick ass. If it is as good as it looks, then DC comics movies are going to jump ahead of Marvel's.

Watchmen is one of the best graphic novels ever created and Alan Moore's best work. It was originally published in USA in 1986. I bought it when it came out here in 1989 and it's one of my all-time favourites until today. If you like dark, intelligent and complex comic stories, read it now. You won't be disappointed.

If the movie takes another direction, changes the story or leaves out key parts like "Tales of the Black Freighter", I'm not interested. Honestly, I'm not really interested, even if the movie turns out to be good. I never understood why so many people want to have comic books as movies. Some are decent, many are horrible, all are redundant. But that's just my opinion.

I'm afraid there will be "Sandman - The Movie" very soon, but I'm glad that - thanks to Mr. Watterson - there will never be a Calvin & Hobbes movie.

It's been awhile since i've read Watchmen. I didn't remember that part. In any case, Zack Snyder already went on record stating he's keeping the movie very close to the graphic novel and he's keeping the ending intact.

Good story, but I don´t know how they will "translate" the subject... and about the end, well is more like...

The action is quick and too little for a conventional heroes movie, and some topics can put the movie on a similar status to Sim City... still I will watch it...

They real history will be see it like another fantasy story...

"Faithful?"  No offense, but have you actually read 300?  The movie was a long way from faithful.  In terms of adaptations, the Sin City movie is probably the most accurate representation of its source material.

I can't imagine how a Watchmen movie could ever measure up to the amazing quality of the graphic novel.  After seeing the trailer, I'm even less convinced.  I'm sure I'll have to see it out of morbid curiosity, but I think we'd be better off without it.  I guess if it encourages more people to read the book, that's something.

Hates Nomura.

Dang, I was looking at the stills of the film and I saw the name of the character not the actor.  It won't let me show the still so you will have go to this site.

That guy looks a hell of lot like Robert Downey Jr.  Very Tony Starkish.

Hi, this is Vince with Shamwow.

I actually thought it was Downey Jr. when I saw the trailer first.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

300 was far too thin to actually make a movie out of. Sure there were many added scenes, but I felt that it all helped the film, not deter from it. When I say faithful, I don't mean basing your entire directing duties on making sure every frame of the comic is shown live on screen like in Sin City. Sin City suffered because they took the novels raw and didn't add or subtract what worked or didn't work for a movie adaptation. I don't see why they couldn't have taken some liberties. I mean Frank Miller was completely involved in it.
