Eh, I would put this as a sore note in the Tales series. Around Legendia and Hearts. This one is just not good. The demo convinced me of that much.

A demo convinces you of a JRPG? LOL. All the media I ve read said game is awesome. Hell I saw first hour of FF7 before it came out and thought it was average. How wrong I was. LOL. Troll of you go to another thread.

Maybe because FFVII is average. (: This game is looking good to me. I didn't get to play the demo yet since I only have silver membership, but will be playing it in a day or two when I'm able to download it. The only problem I have is the animations look so blocky. They probably will fix it though by the time of release. This, Dawn of the New World, Hearts, and the next mothership title on the wii should really satisfy tale fans. I'm a newby to the series though, and only played the first symphonia.

Edit: Btw there are/were many more consoles that dominanted rpgs far more than the 360 is. Examples are the Snes, PS1, PS2, DS, GBA. SO I don't know what you mean by "never seen before".

Yes, and this really hurts the controls and reaction times in the very fast paced battles. ToS and Tales of the Abyss had a similar battle system, but it wasn't broken by the horrible animation and controls.

The attack button being B and the artes button being A is not bad controls.

I know. But controlling your character around in battle was the bad part. (I know you could "free run" by using the left trigger, I just I was chained to my target)

I just wasn't very impressed with it after playing other RPGs (including other Tales which do not have the problems this one seems to have) and see what promising material is down the line.

@ FaRmLaNd

I am regardless. I will get it in the $20-30 price range as I did with Blue Dragon. Im too big of an RPG fan to completely pass a title in the this RPG barren generation.

I wasnt saying it's the best console ever for RPG's, I was saying it's the best 6 months I can remember in a consoles life. As in 5 RPG's from could devs in 6 months. TOV,IU,TLR,Fable 2 and Fallout 3.

I'm pretty sure there have been better six months. ANyway the ds is probably going to have a better 6 months than the 360 in terms of rpgs this year.

Rpgs for the ds releasing/released in the next sixth months starting from June.

Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen

Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride

Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Reverie

Blue Dragon Plus

Etrian Odyssey II: Heroes of Lagaard

Disgaea DS

Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure

Izuna 2: The Unemployed Ninja Returns

Rondo of Swords

Super Robot Wars W

Luminous Arc 2 Will

Rune Factory 2: A Fantasy Harvest Moon

Tales of Hearts

Fire Emblem: Dragon of Darkness and Sword of Light

ASH: Archaic Sealed Heat

Soma Bringer(Possible release in another region)

A Witch's Tale

Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood

World Destruction

Dinosaur King

Dragon Quest IX Hoshizora no Mamoribito

Final Fantasy IV

Chrono Trigger

Cid and Chocobo's Mysterious Dungeon

Sigma Harmonics

Valkyrie Profile: Toga wo Seou Mono

Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift

All of those will be, or are likely to be in a timespan of 6 months, where they release in at least one region. Then we still have tgs coming. The bolded are big titles. I think that is alot better than the 360s lineup(imo). The red ones are ones I can't wait for , or bought and loved.

Edit: I knew I missed some. Blag Sigil Blade of Exile is another game.

The DS is a handheld NOT a video games console.

@outlawauron
If ToV is so bad, then why are previews praising the game?

Around the Network

Why do they hate Europe?

They have to translate the game into different languages before they can release ToV in Europe

Seems like this game will be ok, I haven't played the demo yet.

They don´t have HQs in Europe, so another publisher has to bring it  to Europe and translate as well. No wonder we never got TotA and ToL, we got TotW instead, lol.

@ Riachu

You kidding right? Just because reviews praise it doesn't that everyone will like. Look at FF 12. That game got universal praise. The press LOVED it, but many hated it.
