FF X-2 had a good battle system. CC had a awfull plot, a crappy battle system and the worst battle music ever. FF X-2 didn`t kill every member of the original cast (they even ressurrected one). FF X-2 was the sequel to "just another FF game", CC was the sequel to the best RPG ever. FF X-2 plot is lame, like most of FF games. CC plot is retarded and offensive to CT fans.

So I say CC is worse and my opinion is worth more than yours.

I agree, FFX-2's plot was stupid but when you say most FF games having lame stories, I have to beg to differ. FFX had a great story. How is your opinion worth more than mine? You are being very arrogant for saying that and many people frown upon that since being arrogant is very rude. FFX-2 is considered to be a very bad game by fans for seveal obvious reasons.

 

How telling others they fail is not arrogant? And worse, telling me that my opinion fail. I only answer in such a manner when I see no room for rational discussion. Had you said "I disagree. FF- X2 was much more of a disappointment IMO. For example, I think that factors X, Y and Z are ..." I would not have any reason for harsh answers.

Well, that was not my fault.  If you haven't said that your opinion has more worth than mine, I wouldn't have insulted you.  I am just greatly annoyed when people look down at me.

I'm going to have to agree with ItsaMii. If anything the speedy battle system was a saving grace for FFX-2. Though I think Chrono Cross not living up to Chrono Trigger is the reason it's knocked up several pegs on the disappointment scale. If it was released as a stand alone title then it might not be looked down on as much as it is.

That is the problem.  People should think of CC as more of a side story than a sequel. Especially since Kato said that CC was more of a sidestory to CT than a sequel.  The only reason CC was billed as a sequel was so it would sell well.

yep, totally agree with this. FFX-2 had only an interesting battle system, nothing more. Chrono Cross is much better than FFX-2 and a much less dissapointing sequel.

yep, totally agree with this. FFX-2 had only an interesting battle system, nothing more. Chrono Cross is much better than FFX-2 and a much less dissapointing sequel.

The battle system was decent but the story was lame and also, because all of the mini game induced sidequests, convoluted.  The girly atmoshpere didn't help either
