Can`t find that data... June 2008 USA VGChartz LTD data for Wii, x360 and PS3 would be nice. =)

2009.04.30 - PS3 will OUTSELL x360 atleast by the middle of 2010. Japan+Europe > NA.


Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

 

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.
PS2 2001 vs PS3 2008 sales numbers =) + New games released in Japan by 2009 that passed 100k so far

You should check out TheSources NPD preview thread. He shows the estimates every month of VGC numbers compared to NPD.

EDIT: To answer the question in the Title, just multiply VGC NA LTD number by 0.9 for the VGC estimate.

Some of our data for software is USA+Canada, some of it is USA only, some of it is Canada only so for the Americas, since sw is primarily USA & Canada, since Mexico/South America/Latin America see tons of pirated game which is why we use Americas * .9 to estimate the USA. Even though we have hardware estimates for USA/Canada/Other N.A./S.A. territories, the vast majority is USA. Its something like (and this is very rough) a 90%-7.5%-2.5% split between US/Canada/Mexico everything else.

But this all on average - the percentages of 'Americas' sold outside the USA float a bit from month to month.

The 0.9 thing is just an estimate, if ioi has a split for the numbers for the Americas they're not publicly available at the moment.

After this thread - http://vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=34302 - I think we can come to an assumption of total sales as of start of 08.

VGC numbers for NA -

X360 - 10.14M

Wii - 8.62M

Ps3 - 3.51M

DS - 20.05M

PsP - 11.30M

 

Canada + Mexico numbers combined -

X360 - 1.26M

Wii - 0.87M

Ps3 - 0.37M

DS - 1.66M

PsP - 1.02M

 

So the US numbers should be pretty much as follows:

X360 - 8.88M

Wii -  7.75M

Ps3 - 3.14M

DS - 18.49M

PsP - 10.28M
