@OP: Why can't people have fun with the Wii?

This is a 10 year old mentality post. The classic "Mine is better than yours".

You say you have fun with your PS3, why is it strange that other persons may find the Wii fun? If someone doesn't think like you then he/she is automatically wrong? Lol

This is a slam on the wii I am going to go out on a limb and say when you are experiencing fun you are aware of it. You do not have to stop and ponder… gee am I now at this particular time having “fun” This is just a veiled knock on the wii.

anyway OT, I enjoy playing with my brother's Wii....(that doesn't sound right) but I won't generally pick it up to play by my lonesome, which I much prefer to playing with anyone else. I usually just like beating the crap out of friends in Tekken, SC, VF, etc, but I'll very rarely even play online. I will say the Mario Kart is very fun though! woohoo, but again, no fun by myself once I got all the tracks...

then again, I am a misanthrope, through and through, so I'm surely not the target audience. and I must admit that I LOATHE the US marketing machine that spills bullshit propaganda to the mindless hordes that haven't had an independent thought in their pointless lives...

To me the Wii is fun for a couple reasons.

1) It offers a real evolution compared to the other two cosnoles. Since the PS1 games have basically been the same, there hasn't been much change. The Wii offers a lot of crazy possibilties for new genres of games.

Not that there is anything wrong with the PS3 or 360. I still plan to get both... but to me... the games that interest me on it... are basically the very few ones that are doing stuff new... or doing stuff exceptionally well. While nearly every game on the Wii is a new expierence. (that isn't a halfass port.)

Something like... borderlands and it's procedural weapons generation interests me dozens of times more then like Killzone 2.

I've played hundreds of PS1 and PS2 games. I'm lookin for that next step.

I wasn't saying I got a ps3 because of graphics if thats whats spurned your post. I'm playing through LOD (ps1) right now. It's miles away from being a graphical powerhouse. The wii didn't turn me off because of graphics. Most importantly, I needed a console that could play my old games. Thats the main reason I chose the ps3 i.e to play OLD games and some new ones.

 

Although, the Wii can, of course, play all Cube games and is constantly getting much older games made available for download. Although maybe that's beside your point . However, there is that element to be considered when analyzing the fun levels of the Wii.

 

To go further on this.  I doubt MM9 would of ever happened had it not been for the Wii.

MM9 is going to so rule.

IMO it's the same because i don't see the fun of a ps3 untill GT5 is here
