Forums - Microsoft Discussion - (Rumor) Leak from Square-Enix Staff

Yeah, Square Enix themselves said Last Remnant was a timed exclusive, so some of this is BS. The SO4 thing is a little more plausible, although I highly doubt the game will reach 1.5 million.

I agree.  I am not saying SO4 wouldn't sell well on the 360.  I am just saying that selling that many copies without the Japanese sales will be kind of hard.

dunno if i can beleive this at all because i know developers have struggled with the ps3 but most now are really understanding the system especially with all the tools sony has made availbe to developers, and considering some pro comments from other major developers this seems really quite odd or the team of square enix are just useless and lazy

But S-E have to depend on multiplatform to get the most sales since RPGs(S-E's main genre) don't sell as well as shooters which are huge sellers even when they are exclusive to one system.

Yeah, but Star Ocean usually gets at least half its sales from Japan, and nothing short of divine intervention could turn around the 360 in that region.  Hell, the game will be lucky to break a million.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

LMAO does anyone belive any of this????

It may be more likely then you think. We know SE is hurting finascially and that the PS3 is hard top develop for. We also know that SE has 4 games now planned for the Xbox. I would be more ludicrious to think SE would solely support the PS3. It has released more games for the 360 then the PS3 as of now and it gives them more profability in other regions. They may also be banking more people will pick up a 360 if their games are on it.

In some way, it could be BS but it could also be very beleivable.

"Nomura may resign because of the 360 development."

Nomura resign because of 360 development?

Yeah, this is BS for sure. Some of it may be true (some of it sounds logical anyway) but I doubt it.

Why not? It might be better that way . Less emo-sickness and girly men with extravagant clothes, he goes too wild when he´s left alone.

So you would rather have a space marine muscle man as a main character?  They generally have little, if any, personality.  Atleast the emo-sickened girly men with extravagant clothes are remotely interesting.

No, someone along the lines of Zack, Angeal and Ramza instead. Balthier, Basch too and the early FF characters that were directly inspired from Amano´s artwork.

Even the original Cloud, Sephiroth were  fine, just like Squall, but they were over-effeminated in AC and DC.

Why is it a huge problem that male protagonists are effeminate in JRPGs?  JRPGs are made in Japan and effeminate men are part of Japanese culture so having effeminate protagonists in JRPGs is pretty understandable.

I don´t like it when they are over-effeminated and it´s mainly Nomura´s trait and his music influences the cause of that. Other jRPGs don´t have over-effeminated characters and even if they do, their outfits are more of my taste. Btw, I´d take Kefka over Kuja anyday as a badass.
