Infinite Undiscovery

Hmm.... yeah, it has chance to draw rpg folks THIS year, BUT next year it will be all about PS3. =)

Time will show, will M$ strategy work or not.

Don't include Cross Edge in this because the game is very niche as all crossover games are.  The 360 will have other RPG other than SOTLH next year including Alpha Protocol

It will be weird if the flow of JRPG slows to a trickle next year. Once you start plowing that field, you have to plow it to the bitter end, Microsoft!

Although PS3 doesn't have that much, either. Cross Edge is a zany mash-up of different franchises, so that has "exclusive to Japan" written all over it.

But both will be getting Alpha Protocol, which looks sweet.

The concept is great but according to IGN, the textures and art direction in the game need some work.  I don't think Microsodt would let the flow of RPG releases slow down

I think it's scheduled for March 2009, so hopefully they'll sort any issues out by then. Kotaku seemed pretty favorable toward it already. I don't have quite the faith in Obsidian that I do in BioWare (KOTOR1 was vastly superior to KOTOR2, IMO), but if it's anywhere in the ballpark - or even the parking lot - of Mass Effect's greatness, this is a must buy for me.

Anyway, I hope you're right. Microsoft haven't shown any games that are scheduled for much beyond the holiday season- except FFXIII, of course. No telling what they've got lined up.

Eternal sonata came out a long time ago for 360. so if you add that.... And also the last remnant is coming out this year on 360 while ps3 owners have to wait a year...... It seems like the 360 wins twice.

SO, because games are multiplatform, they won`t sell on PS3 and peopel won`t play them? =))
Well, pretty soon we will able to see how Eternal Sonata will do. =)

The point is, that if rpg fan won`t buy x360 this year, next year it won`t matter anymore, so if there will be any effect in LO sales, it must be this year, if there won`t be, then rpg fans didn`t go to x360. :)

And i didn`t include Dark Cloud 3
+ possible Tales of Vesperia in 2009 for ps3, maybe even SO:TLH for PS3 the same year, who knows. =))
