Forums - Gaming - Hype kills games for you too?

The last time I allowed myself to get hyped for anything was The Phantom Menace movie, many years ago. Since then, no amount of hype has ruined anything for me, and I like it better that way.

Also, Halo 3 single-player was by far the best of the three. I haven't played much of the multiplayer for any Halo game, so I can't comment on that. I honestly think all the Halo 3 hate comes from the hype surrounding the release, and has nothing to do with the game's quality.

Brawl.....seriously...too much hype..I was expecting Megaman and Lyn and Django etc etc etc and Some ofcourse...

and over 50 stages...and an elaborate stage builder...meh..

the hype killed some of the fun for me..

but it's still an A-OK game ^_^

Of course not! I hear that the ending will be so bad that will almost killed the Halo franchise! but with Halo 9 that will change because Master Chief will admit that he is a bionic android and that he was programed to conquer the world. What can be more dramatic than that?

Sometimes, well, it's happened to me in the past, so I try to avoid getting hyped as much as possible nowadays.

Also, Halo 11 will confirm Master chief as being a woman.

But in Halo 9 the Master Chief goes back in time, like the terminator to change the future. But I hate all that time travel crap, its just an excuse to remake Halos 1-8 and make even more money out of simple rehashes!

How can anyone like Time travel in games? They do it enough in Star trek to make me sick... At least Kirk has the decency to mostly keep out of the time-space continueum.
