It's already been confirmed that Halo 4 is in development. Can Halo 4 break their previous records? I know there's now word yet on any features but can it sell 4 million in first week. Halo 3 sold about 3.3 or 3.5 million copies, I think, but can this game break its own records? What do you think?

I think H3 was probably the high point, and it'll likely settle somewhere in between 2 and 3.

Halo 4 will be out in 2010 on a user base in excess of 30 million XBox 360 owners.

Haven't they said that 3 was the last game in the main Halo series? And didn't they say THIS E3 that all future halos would be master chief-free?

i think its a case of milking a cow for all its worth, even though no1 needs anymore milk

All depends when it releases and how different it is. If it is the start of a new trilogy then yes. If it is a total redirection then maybe not.

Talking about Halo 4 now is like tlaking about Killzone 2 in 2005. No point of discussing sales...lots could change till then.
